Are you facing repeating patterns in life?
Groundhog Day, as some would call it, or a situation that keeps happening, leaving you to wonder, “What’s happening… Not this again?”
Many womens’ first instinct is to avoid conflict – think no big deal, blame others, or even our environment. The second time perhaps we do the same thing. The third time it happens, it starts to trigger something within us and question if we attract the particular situation into our lives. The fourth, fifth, sixth time, we can see that something within us needs to be healed, mended, and shifted.
Speaking from Personal Experience…
I have a history of being overly excited and eager to collaborate with others, so much so that I wouldn’t take the time to vet character. I then would enviably fall into a pattern of over-giving, not establishing boundaries, and staying silent creating resentment. I had an issue with people-pleasing. I was terrified of upsetting others and ultimately sacrificed myself in the process. I still battle with this deep-rooted fear and have to remain aware of this tendency.
It’s No Different with Your Life!
If there are negative patterns taking place in various scenarios, the first step is to be aware. There is hope. You can stop the cycle. We can identify where the pattern started and remedy it. You can choose to take ownership of the situation, self-correct and trust you have the power to heal that negative pattern.
Perhaps you have a pattern of sleeping late, poor time management, bad taste in men (been there). Maybe your emotional triggers have manifested into negative patterns. You most likely experience a range of emotions, anxiety, excitement, sadness, joy, and frustration on any given day. An emotional trigger can be memories or events that can offset intense emotional reactions regardless of how good you may feel. Listening to your mind and body is a critical factor in recognizing your triggers, involving being aware when those situations generate a strong emotional response.
Remember, you are the creator of your life and the progression forward. Remember that this is doable, and you are capable of stopping the negative patterns in your life!
